Nate Chapman, Psy.D.

Dr. Chapman earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Carlos Albizu University in 2017. In 2016 he completed an internship at the University of Akron Counseling and Testing Center, and after that, his post-doc work at State University of New York-Canton. Dr. Chapman has a Master's in Counselor Education from Florida International University, which he completed in 2009. Dr. Chapman is a Licensed Psychologist with over ten years’ experience serving various populations, including substance abuse, veterans, amputees, adolescents, undergraduate and graduate students, athletes, and couples. 
Dr. Chapman’s areas of special emphasize: Dr. Chapman conducts pre-employment psychological screenings for law enforcement officers across the state of West Virginia. Dr. Chapman prefers to work with athletes with anxiety and couples. He is a Gottman Leader with expertise in working with couples and enjoys helping couples grow as a pair. In his work with couples, he utilities John Gottman’s research-based method.  Dr. Chapman is dedicated to his craft and has completed Gottman levels 1,2 and Level 3 Practicum Training. 
Dr. Chapman is a certified trainer that facilitates a variety of workshops designed to increase performance, such as The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, Bringing Baby Home, Mental Health First Aid, and True Colors Keys to Personal Success. 
He currently has openings for couples.
